Intra-oral camera
Dr Beaudoin works with the most recent technologies, such as the intra-oral camera. This very light and compact camera can easily be introduced in the oral cavity so we can take a digital picture of a specific region in the mouth. This allows the patient to visualise on a big screen certain things that the dentist sees, but that aren’t necessarily easy to see otherwise. The patient sees, therefore believes. It is very reassuring and educational for the patient. Many things can be photographed, such as a worn out filling, a crack, a little black spot on a tooth, or a lesion in the mouth. These pictures can be conserved to your file for further reference, if a certain condition needs follow-up. In time, this also allows the dentist to have points of reference, much like with x-rays.
